Municipalities have failed to deliver basic services while public funds are wasted through mismanagement and tender abuse. The 2026 local government elections are the opportunity to reset, rebuild and restore. ActionSA is ready to lead that change.

Support for SMMEs, less red tape, local procurement and investment in infrastructure that supports business.
Municipal Security Units to enforce by-laws, reclaim hijacked buildings, protect infrastructure and support law enforcement.
ActionSA will reduce reliance on tenders and build internal municipal capacity. We will insource security services, infrastructure maintenance and cleaning and waste services. This will cut corruption, improve efficiency and create permanent local jobs.
We will end tender abuse: outsourcing will be minimised where municipalities can deliver internally, all major contracts will be published and corruption will be met with consequences. Public money must serve the people, not politically connected contractors.
Reduce water losses, repair leaks, upgrade infrastructure and ensure consistent water supply in all communities.
Prioritise roads, electricity networks, stormwater systems and public facilities through preventative maintenance programmes.
End cadre deployment, introduce merit-based hiring and ensure fair and open recruitment processes.
Performance contracts, published service delivery reports and enforced accountability. Failure will have consequences.
Support SMMEs, cut red tape, promote local procurement and unlock opportunities in agriculture, tourism, the township economy and industry.

Work with Home Affairs and SAPS, ensure all businesses comply with the law and act against illegal operations. We welcome all who are legally documented and respect South African laws.
